Starting September 10, the curfew in Kyiv will be shortened and public transportation hours will be extended
In Kyiv, the curfew will be shortened by one hour — it will run from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. The new schedule will take effect on September 10, 2026. The Kyiv Defense Council adopted the corresponding decision.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced the changes. Due to the curfew reduction, the public transportation schedule in the capital will be extended by one hour. At the same time, the operating hours for restaurants, entertainment venues, and shopping and entertainment centers will remain unchanged.
The city also plans to organize four bus routes from the Central Railway Station during curfew hours. These routes are intended to transport passengers arriving in Kyiv on delayed trains.
Separately, the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) noted that, starting September 3, large transit vehicles have been permitted to travel through the capital during curfew hours.
These changes are part of a series of decisions regarding the functioning of Kyiv’s municipal services amid the deteriorating security situation.
