More than 70% of road maintenance work on front-line roads involves repairing deformations and patching potholes. More than 672,000 m² of pavement has already been restored at 59 sites.
According to information from the Recovery Agency, as of April 2025, work is continuing on 59 sites. Since the beginning of the year, more than 672,000 m² of damage and deformations to the road surface in frontline regions have been repaired. The most active work is being carried out in the Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
For settlements that are under frequent shelling, such measures are necessary to ensure the livelihoods of local communities and the ability to reach safer areas. In other regions, maintaining frontline roads in satisfactory operating condition is an important component of military logistics and the evacuation of the wounded and local residents.
Restoration services in the regions are actively working to maintain public roads of national importance in regions bordering the aggressor and the front line.
Road works are carried out using hot asphalt concrete mixtures. In other areas, local patch repairs are being carried out to ensure passage.
It should be noted that at the beginning of the season, contractors voluntarily reduced their prices and are carrying out operational maintenance of frontline roads at a lower cost than before.
