Ukraine has received the first tranche of $1.5 billion from the IMF under the new four-year EFF program. The funds will be used to finance priority budget expenditures and support macrofinancial stability.
The International Monetary Fund has disbursed the first tranche of $1.5 billion to Ukraine under the new four-year program within the framework of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF). This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The funds have already been credited and will be used to finance priority budget expenditures and support macrofinancial stability.
The total program amount is $8.1 billion. Since the start of the full-scale war, IMF financial support for Ukraine has reached $14.9 billion.
“I am grateful to our partners for their trust and support. We continue to implement the agreed reforms aimed at preserving macroeconomic stability, strengthening state institutions, and advancing the course toward European integration,” the Head of Government noted.
