Agreements on the establishment of Ukraine’s Transport Support Fund have been finalized. One of its key objectives is to restore infrastructure and accelerate Ukraine’s integration into the EU’s transport network. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The fund will finance the repair and maintenance of transportation infrastructure, the procurement of specialized vehicles and equipment, the development of road, rail, port, airport, and border infrastructure, as well as the strengthening of export routes.
The partners have announced their initial contributions: Lithuania, Sweden, and Norway — approximately 1 million euros each, and Estonia — 100,000 euros. The funds will be used to implement pilot projects identified by Ukraine.
