Inflationary processes in Ukraine continue to slow down gradually, writes Banker.ua. According to the results of January 2026, consumer price growth amounted to 7.4% on an annualized basis, which indicates further stabilization of the economic situation. Compared to December, prices rose by 0.7% over the month, which is slightly more than at the end of last year, but is fully in line with traditional seasonal fluctuations, Banker.ua reports, citing the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
The published data confirm a steady downward trend in inflation, which began at the end of 2025. The current level of 7.4% is one of the lowest in recent times and demonstrates a gradual restoration of the balance between supply and demand in the domestic market.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index rose by 0.7% in January, while in December this figure was 0.2%. Experts note that a slight acceleration in inflation at the beginning of the year is typical and is associated with price adjustments by manufacturers, as well as seasonal increases in the cost of certain categories of food products.
