A program to promote volunteerism will be launched in Ukraine
A program to promote volunteerism and the future Volunteer Council under the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity were presented in Ukraine. The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between the government and volunteer communities and support the systematic development of the sector.
The First National Forum of Volunteer Councils was held in Lutsk. Representatives of volunteer communities from all over Ukraine, the state, and international partners gathered to work together on the future of the volunteer sector.
Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity Denys Ulyutin thanked the defenders who have enabled the state to plan for its future and noted that since 2014, the volunteer movement has demonstrated the power of self-organization in Ukrainian society and its readiness to take on challenges in the most difficult times.
During the event, a program for the development of volunteerism in Ukraine and the future Volunteer Council under the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity were also presented.
The event is being held at the initiative of the Ministry of Social Policy and in cooperation with the Pomagaem Charitable Foundation, the Swedish Help Center, the National Social Service of Ukraine, the Eastern Europe Foundation, and the Volyn Regional State Administration.
