42% of adults and 70% of teenagers use AI in Ukraine
In Ukraine, 96% of citizens have digital skills, and 58% have at least a basic level of proficiency. At the same time, artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of everyday life: 42% of adults and 70% of teenagers use it.
Today, 96% of Ukrainians have digital skills, and 58% have basic or higher skills. This indicator corresponds to the average level of EU countries.
In six years – from the start of the digital transformation in 2019 to today – Ukraine has gone from a country where 15% of adults lacked basic digital skills to a country where only 4% do.
These are the results of the fourth study of Ukrainians' digital skills, conducted by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
The data also confirms that digital literacy directly affects well-being. Ukrainians with high digital skills earn on average five times more than those without them. And for 59% of respondents, digital literacy has opened up new professional opportunities.
Digital skills are no longer just an advantage – they are now the basis for competitiveness in the labor market.
This year's new focus is on attitudes toward artificial intelligence. The technology is rapidly integrating into everyday life:
42% of adults and 70% of teenagers use AI tools to create texts, search for information, study, or work.
Half of the adults surveyed and 76% of teenagers have made at least one decision based on the results of their interaction with artificial intelligence.
To help citizens master modern digital skills, the Diya.Education platform has created a separate section called “Artificial Intelligence” with 11 educational materials, ranging from short videos to full-fledged courses.
