Ukraine scales up the use of ground-based robotic systems

In January, ground-based robotic systems (GRS) carried out more than 7,000 combat and logistical missions on the front lines. Their use has become standard practice for military units, helping to reduce risks to personnel and increase mission effectiveness, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“Six months ago, the evacuation of wounded soldiers using GRS was a rare occurrence. Today, robots regularly enter high-risk areas: they deliver ammunition, provide logistics, and evacuate the wounded in places where the presence of people creates an additional threat,” said Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
Most of the NRK's tasks in January are logistical missions on the front lines. These are thousands of operations that the military previously carried out under enemy fire.
The key task is to transfer front-line logistics to ground-based robotic systems as much as possible. This will reduce risks for the military and increase the efficiency of units.
In 2026, it is planned to increase the production and procurement volumes of the NRK, as well as to improve communication and control systems. Military units will be able to supplement the complexes by purchasing the necessary modules and components in accordance with specific combat tasks.
Through the Drone Army program, the most effective combat experience is scaled up. Thirteen models of ground-based robotic systems are already available on the Brave1 Market platform, which units can obtain for combat points – quickly, transparently, and in accordance with the real needs of the front line.
