On February 24, 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine put into circulation three new commemorative coins from the thematic series "We are strong. We Are Together," dedicated to the unity of Ukraine and its regions:

“We Are Strong. We Are Together. Zaporizhzhia Region”;

“We Are Strong. We Are Together. Kharkiv Region”;

“We Are Strong. We Are Together. Kherson Region.”

They were presented by the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshnyy, and the Chair of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, Olena Zhuk, on Khortytsia Island (Zaporizhzhia) on the fourth anniversary of the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.

Last year, we launched a new series of commemorative coins called “We Are Strong. We Are Together.” The idea behind it is to demonstrate Ukraine's unity and the resilience of each region and its inhabitants. Today, three new coins from this series are being introduced into circulation, dedicated to the frontline regions. To those who withstand enemy attacks every day and hold Ukraine together – the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions. The reverse of each coin features a map of Ukraine. Whole, indivisible, united. With clear administrative boundaries. Each coin highlights one of the regions to which it is dedicated: Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kherson. To emphasize a simple and indisputable truth: each of them is an integral part of the Ukrainian state. This is the message conveyed by our new coins. It is not just 10 hryvnia, it is a sign of remembrance, a record of our resilience in history. Because a state that is fighting must speak not only with weapons, but also with symbols that shape national memory. We are strong because we know what we are fighting for. We are together because we understand that only together will we win," emphasized Andriy Pyshnyy, Governor of the National Bank, when presenting the new coins.

He added that the issuance of commemorative coins in this series will continue throughout 2026–2027. A total of 54 million coins dedicated to the regions of Ukraine will be put into circulation in this series.

The theme of the coins, “We are strong. We are together,” clearly reflects the current situation in the Zaporizhzhia region. This is the fourth year of full-scale war. During this time, the region has endured losses, shelling, and tests of endurance. Despite everything, unity has been our response to the war. Yes, the region lives in conditions of war, but it does not live by it. It works, supports, rebuilds, and moves forward. Behind every step are real people who take responsibility and do their part, working and keeping the economy of the frontline region going. There is one thing that cannot be destroyed by shelling, and that is our unity. And that is what Zaporizhzhia is today," said Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration.
