“Google tax.” Since the beginning of the year, over UAH 4.2 billion has already been paid to the budget. This was announced on her Facebook page by Lesya Karnaukh, Acting Head of the State Tax Service.

This year's revenues exceed last January-February's figure by UAH 0.7 billion. At that time, UAH 3.5 billion was paid to the budget.

"These funds are paid by non-residents who provide electronic services to individuals in the customs territory of Ukraine and are registered as VAT payers. In particular, in January-February 2026, EUR 38.5 million and USD 52.1 million were paid," she said.

The leading companies in terms of tax payments are Apple, Google, Valve, Meta, Sony, Etsy, and Netflix.

To date, 151 non-residents who provide electronic services to individuals in the customs territory of Ukraine have already registered as VAT payers.

“The payment of this tax is an important element of fair taxation of the digital economy and contributes to additional revenue for the State Budget of Ukraine,” added Lesya Karnaukh.

It should be noted that non-residents are required to register as VAT payers if, over the past 12 months, the volume of electronic services provided to individuals in the customs territory of Ukraine exceeds the equivalent of UAH 1 million.
